The new vehicle features a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, borrowed from the RCZ-R model and adopted for the Euro6 CO2 emission requirements. According to the manufacturer’s press release, the level of emission makes 139 gpkm and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 6 seconds. Front-wheel drive is carried out exclusively via a standard six-speed manual gearbox. So the GTi 270, or 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport – appears to look more upgraded and futuristic.
Like all models GTi, the current version belongs to the high-performance Peugeot Sport division. As the power becomes increased, with the engine delivering 266 HP at 6000rpm, an all-new sports 308 version obtains an upgraded chassis and powerful Michelin Pilot Sport tires
If compared with the recent GT model, so a keen enthusiast may notice that GTi features 19-inch wheels, a modest body style, much impressive brakes and a revised electric power steering.
The exterior takes modest changes including an exclusive black grille, extra spoilers and air intakes, glossy deep black diffuser and a pair of exhaust tips.
