Monterey Debut: BMW Officially Revealed Its Roadster Concept Z4

The revolution begins, the Bavarian giant proves it at the current Monterey Car Week revealing its conceptual design and giving us a main idea of what the next drop-top generation will look like. BMW in partnership with Toyota wins all our hearts today with a stunning new Concept Z4 to debut at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

What the carmaker offers is a revolutionary, futuristic even take on the traditional convertible. Worn a matte Frozen Energetic Orange paint, the long-wheelbased roadster version features a tremendously sharp profile with sleep lines and short overhangs. Rolling on 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, the sparkling new two-seater gets a highly aggressive shark-like nose, low-mounted wide air intakes and high-mounted LED L-shaped taillights. The grizzling front spoiler plays with Z4 lettering, and the front and rear diffusers feature carbon fibre add-ons.  Inside, the revolution goes on the cockpit (not to mention the interior looks almost production-ready!). The main point is surely the dashboard coated in orange suede omitting the driver’s front – it is finished in deep black leather. Both the steering wheel and the paddle shifters have been also redesigned to the concept:  the steering wheel sets up a recessed center section. Along with that, the Z4 gets a head-up display and a digital gauge cluster.
