Ducati proudly adopts a good old tradition to give gifts to others on the birthday marking its 90th anniversary. To celebrate this date, the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer unveiled the ultra-limited edition 1299 Panigale S Anniversario. Producing 205bhp, this striking hot Italian is actually a tech-savvy pinnacle of range-topping famous superbike.

As we speak, the manufacturer has just unveiled this babe at World Ducati Week in Misano, with the help of Casey Stoner, the top-notch Ducati test rider, and Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO. According to the text release, it would be rather limited edition as the Italians are going to build only 500 Panigale S units. First bikes will reach the brand dealerships relatively soon, (this month promisingly), so if this hot stuff boggles your mind, get your money. The astonishing pricing tag will come up to $28,995.
What about the current updates?

There are some significant updated for this edition. Based on one of the most power-packed bikes, the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario shares the chassis geometry with the previous Ducati edition Panigale R getting again a one-off special livery in red, black and white hues along with gold-colored Marchesini wheels, titanium exhaust and unique metals like laser engraving. Powered by a 1,285cc V-twin, the bike produces 205 ponies. The 1299 Panigale S uses the EVO version of the DWC and DTC systems (Ducati Wheelie Control and Traction Control accordingly), to deliver slide control via power modulation. The new system let the rider modulate the rear-wheel slide taking control the throttle bodies and thus drifting effortlessly without crashing. Being a potentially innovative, this upgrade is expected to appear on the next model year models.
