Meet the Super Bowl 2018 Car Commercials’ Roundup – In Case If You Missed It When Cheering For Your Favs

Sunday Super Bowl LII brought some unexpected surprise for heated fans and supporters. The latter traditionally enjoy not only an exciting, passionate game but also a bunch of the funniest or smartest spots. This year is no exception, although there could have been more vehicular commercials, and not all of them were greatly impressive. But let us keep some order, and by the way, one more surprise – The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots, 41 to 33.
The Most Expressive and Memorable title goes to FCA, exactly to RAM with its Icelandic Vikings spot. Featuring the new 2019 RAM 1500, the plot focuses on the way tough Vikings (hey, the target audience) made to Minnesota – a city that is known for using the Viking as a mascot. That may work but a joke that needed to be explained is definitely not so funny. Well, at least, the soundtrack is raw rock!

The Most Humorous prize goes to Hyundai’s ad, ‘Ref to the Rescue’, that advertizes the brand’s all-new compact crossover, the Kona. The main idea revolves around getting home in time to watch the Super Bowl, and all means are good for this. Even if it comes to a bunch of red cards.

Two ads – again Hyundai with ‘Hope Detector’ and Toyota with ‘Good Odds’ shares the winning place of the Most Heart-Touching Spot. Hyundai touched minds and hearts by showcasing the automaker’s Hope on Wheels donations on pediatric cancer research. Toyota played with a common message of ‘mobility for all’ highlighting the brand’s global sponsorship of the Paralympics.

The most Eye-Catching and Inspirational title goes to Steven Tyler, Aerosmith front man, driving the new 2018 KIA Stinger. Another big benefit is an appearance of Emerson Fittipaldi, an iconic racer, and another impressive soundtrack. If turning back time to younger days would only be possible by burning rubber on the track!

Cinema’s theme is represented in two different vehicular spots. Lexus features the bespoke LS 500 F Sport teaming up Marvel Studio to showcase the superhero’s adventures in the upcoming ‘Black Panther’ film.  And meet one of the most crazy-popular ads of the year, ‘Jeep Jurassic’ starring Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom. Dr. Malcom is driving the Jeep (this time, it’s the new 2018 Wrangler), and the Tyrannosaurus Rex is chasing him – just like in kind old times. That is the point, right?
